Four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers spent months weighing his options before ultimately signing a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Rodgers officially joined the team on Saturday, and in a photo shared by the Steelers on social media, a black band could be seen on his wedding ring finger.
The 41-year-old quarterback addressed the media on Tuesday after his first day of training with the team. When asked about the ring, Rodgers confirmed, “Yeah, it’s a wedding ring.” Pressed further on how long he’s been married, he simply replied, “It’s been a couple of months.”
Rodgers became a free agent for the first time in his 20-year NFL career after being released by the New York Jets following a disappointing second season. While he visited the Steelers and reportedly received an offer from the New York Giants, Rodgers admitted in April that he was “open to anything,” including retirement.
